ONDC - May, 2023

ONDC

OPEN MARKET FOR DIGITAL COMMERCE.

Hope it works.

The GOI does not own ONDC neither has it put in a rupee into it!

It’s just backing ONDC and helping curate a framework.lol.

Why ONDC? Because big players like Amazon and Flipkart are trying to give huge discounts showing their money muscle power also trying to copy high selling products to sell it as their own product leaving the small scale sellers jobless and broke.

Now how will ONDC change it, well it can’t, as of now atleast.

What it will do is, it will show you all the sellers listed on the platform for that product as a fair game where now you can decide whether to buy from Raju bhaiya directly or through Amazon.

With time what ONDC will show you for a product is as per the reviews and sales, now if Raju bhaiya has more reviews through Amazon, why would you buy directly from him?

So what you would be doing now is again buy from Amazon itself, just that it’d be from a new network making you believe your helping a small scaled seller. Well sadly your not.

As of now ONDC remains a joke, it’s just an other Zomato which allows you to get stuff delivered through Dunzo.

I agree regularising the e-commerce space is tough, but pulling a lot of money and believing you’ve done something great by burning it away is a classic startup culture your portraying.

Ask me if ONDC is a threat to Zomaato or Zomaeto at this stage, nope it’s not.!.
